People : Thailand Won First Prize in International Snow Sculpture in Japan

 

Thailand team comprising Mr. Kusol Bunkobsongserm from the Shangri-La hotel, Mr. Amnuay Srisuk from the Grand Hyatt Erawan hotel and Mr. Kritsana Wongtes, an Independent sculptor  won the First Prize with their sculpture presentation of  “Kai Chon,” traditional cockfight, a popular sport in the local communities for hundreds of  years in the  45th International Snow Sculpture Contest 2018 held during 4-8 February 2018 as part of the 69th Sapporo Snow Festival in Sapporo, Hokkaido Prefecture.

Thailand has sent sculptors to compete in the International Snow Sculpture for 20 times, and won the First Prizes 7 times, the Grand Champion 1 time when winning the First Prizes for 3 consecutive years, and become the country that have won the First Prizes at the most.
