Activities : The Thailand Foundation led the Thai Creative Dance Groups to perform at the Thai Festival, the commemorative event for the establishment of the “Royal Thai Consulate General in Fukuoka”

H.E.Mr.Bansarn Bunnag Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to Japan, together with Mr.Hiroshi ogawa, Fukuoka Governor and Mr.Saroj Chavanaviraj Secretary-General of the Thailand Foundation jointly opened The Thai Festival in Fukuoka and inaugurate the establishment of Royal Thai Consulate-General in Fukuoka on 29th September 2018 at the front of Hakata Station. This event was held to introduce Thai food and culture and promote the attractions of Thailand. In the opening ceremony, the Governor Mr. Hiroshi Ogawa said in his speech “I expect that the establishment of the Consulate General will be a trigger to make both countries’ relationship deeper and more accelerated in various fields, for instance, people to people’s relationship, business, and cultural exchanges.” H.E.Mr. Bansarn Bunnag, the Thai Ambassador, added that “this event will be a historical one for both countries. At the festival, there were many food stalls and shops, for example the popular dish, “Gaprao,” as well as the sale of Thai goods. On the stage, famous martial arts “Muaythai” performance  was presented with a highlight of the Thai traditional, and modern dances which were deeply appreciated by the Japanese audience.
